About This Machine

Criss Cross 'A' Lite is a single-player electro-mechanical pin game made by the Genco Manufacturing Co. in February 1935. Its name points to a crossing-lights scoring feature, an objective common to mid-1930s games in which players tried to light patterns across the playfield.

As a flipperless machine of the era, it was played with the plunger and the ball's natural roll, with progress tracked on a lit backglass. Genco was one of the most prolific Chicago coin-op makers of the Depression years, and Criss Cross 'A' Lite is a representative example of its early lit-target pin games.
