0About This Machine
Mills Tycoon is an electro-mechanical payout pin game produced by the Mills Novelty Company in 1936. Like many Mills machines of the Depression, it functioned as a coin-operated gambling device, rewarding players with coin payouts based on where the ball came to rest on the playfield.
Mills Novelty of Chicago was one of the most important early makers of slot machines and payout amusements, and Tycoon sits squarely in that gambling tradition. As a flipperless mid-1930s machine, it predates the modern flipper by more than a decade.
