About This Machine

Hold 'Em is an electro-mechanical pin game made by the Stoner Manufacturing Company of Aurora, Illinois, in October 1936. Unusually for its day, it was built for two players, offering competitive coin-operated play at a time when most machines were solo affairs.

A flipperless game of the mid-1930s, Hold 'Em played through the plunger and the ball's roll across the playfield, with results shown on a lit backglass. It is now considered quite scarce owing to its age and limited survival, and Stoner's Depression-era games are prized by collectors of pre-war pinball.
