About This Machine

Puddin' Head is a single-player electro-mechanical pinball machine manufactured by the Genco Manufacturing Co. in October 1948, with approximately 1,907 units produced. Released during the industry's rapid embrace of the newly invented flipper, it was among Genco's late-1940s woodrail titles and used a lit backglass for scoring.

Genco was one of Chicago's long-established coin-op manufacturers, active from the early 1930s into the late 1950s. Puddin' Head is a representative example of the small, character-themed flipper games that filled arcades and taverns in the years immediately after the flipper's arrival.
