About This Machine
Dr. Dude is a solid-state pinball machine from Bally Manufacturing Co., manufactured in October 1990. Known in full as "Dr. Dude and His Excellent Ray," it built its theme around a comic quest for coolness and self-improvement, with a playful, over-the-top personality that has made it a fan favorite among System 11 games.
Running on Williams System 11C hardware with an alphanumeric display, the four-player game featured two flippers, a ramp, and multiball play. Bally produced roughly 4,000 units. Its distinctive humor and presentation have kept it popular with collectors long after its original run.
