Batman Standard
About This Machine
Batman (Standard Model) is a solid-state pinball machine released by Stern Pinball in 2010, and it stands out as one of the rarest Stern games of its era: only about 48 units were built. Running on Stern's SAM hardware with a dot-matrix display, it supports up to four players and features a single ramp and four-ball multiball.
This Standard Model was a budget-oriented, stripped-down version of Stern's 2008 Batman: The Dark Knight, produced as a limited marketing trial to reach a mass-market audience through Costco warehouse stores at a lower price point. To hit that price, it omitted several of the flagship game's toys and used revised software. Because so few were made, the Standard Model is a scarce and sought-after curiosity among collectors.
