About This Machine
Avatar (Pro) is a solid-state pinball machine released by Stern Pinball in September 2010, themed on James Cameron's 2009 film Avatar. Running on Stern's SAM system with a dot-matrix display, the Pro model offers a single ramp, four-ball multiball, and up to four-player competition.
As the standard production version of Stern's Avatar, the Pro was manufactured in a run of roughly 1,000 units, making it the more widely available of the two Avatar variants. It preceded the more exclusive Limited Edition, which arrived a couple of months later in a much smaller run.
