Predator
About This Machine
Predator is the infamous solid-state pinball project from Skit-B Pinball, developed in 2013 around the Predator film franchise and running on the Multimorphic P-ROC control system. On paper it was an ambitious boutique title: a four-player game with two flippers, a pair of ramps, generous multiball, and a dot-matrix display.
The game is best remembered not for its playfield but for its collapse. Skit-B, run by Kevin Kulek, took deposits from many buyers on the promise of a licensed production run, but never actually secured rights from the film's owner. After mounting community scrutiny and a detailed Pinball News investigation, the project was canceled on March 24, 2015, and Kulek faced lawsuits from customers who had prepaid, eventually filing for bankruptcy. Only a handful of prototypes, around three, are believed to have been built. Predator is frequently cited as the cautionary tale that helped end the pre-order boutique pinball era. It is not listed on IPDB and is documented from the Pinside machine database.
