Space Mission X

Space Mission X is a prototype pinball machine designed by veteran Williams designer John Popadiuk under his Zidware Pinball USA venture, dated 2015. Only two prototype units were built, on the Multimorphic P-ROC platform, before the project was canceled. Space Mission X was one of several ambitious Zidware titles that never reached production: the company ran out of funds, leaving this and other designs such as Magic Girl unfinished, and the resulting dispute with pre-order customers led to a lawsuit that was not resolved until years later. As a canceled prototype, it survives only as a footnote to the boutique-pinball boom of the 2010s. It is recorded in the Pinside machine database and has not been added to IPDB.
