Forbidden Planet

Forbidden Planet is a one-of-a-kind home-brew pinball machine completed in 2016 and built on the Multimorphic P3-ROC control platform. Only a single example was ever made, carrying a notional price of $6,500. Despite being hand-built, it is a full-featured solid-state game: it supports up to four players and packs three flippers, three ramps, and a three-ball multiball into its layout, with scoring and animations shown on a modern LCD display rather than a traditional dot-matrix. Because the machine lives only in the Pinside machine database and has not been catalogued on IPDB, little formal documentation exists, but it stands as a good example of the do-it-yourself pinball movement that the flexible P-ROC and P3-ROC hardware helped enable.
