Stranger Things (Premium)

Stranger Things (Premium) is a solid-state pinball machine released by Stern Pinball in December 2019, based on the hit Netflix science-fiction series. Built on Stern's SPIKE 2 hardware and playable by up to four players, the Premium sits in the middle of Stern's three-tier lineup, above the Pro model and below the Limited Edition.

The playfield features two flippers, two ramps, and a five-ball multiball, with scoring and animations presented on a color LCD display in the backbox. As a Premium build, it adds toys and mechanisms not found on the Pro, including a projector that casts imagery onto the playfield and a magnet-based mechanism used to evoke the show's 'Upside Down' dimension.

Released while the series was at the height of its popularity, Stranger Things pairs the Netflix license with the fast, flowing gameplay Stern is known for. The machine remained in production at the time this record was sourced from the Pinside database, and it had not yet been catalogued on IPDB.
