Trip to Yucatan
About This Machine
Trip to Yucatan is a one-of-a-kind homebrew pinball machine completed in 2020 by hobbyist builder Stefan Mader, one of several original machines he has constructed. As a home-brew project, only a single unit was ever produced, making it a true custom creation rather than a commercial release.
Despite its garage-built origins, Trip to Yucatan is a fully modern solid state machine. It runs on the Multimorphic P3-ROC controller platform, a popular choice among homebrew pinball builders, and features an LCD display for its scoring and animations. The playfield is equipped with two flippers, two ramps, and a multiball mode that can put up to six balls in play at once.
Supporting up to two players, the machine reflects the growing homebrew pinball movement of the late 2010s and 2020s, in which dedicated enthusiasts design, wire, and program complete original games from scratch. Mader went on to build additional homebrew titles, including Deep Blue Rage.
