Retro Atomic Zombie Adventureland (Arcade Edition)
About This Machine
Retro Atomic Zombie Adventureland (Arcade Edition), commonly known as RAZA, was intended to be the debut title from Deeproot Pinball of San Antonio, Texas. Conceptualized by veteran designer John Popadiuk with programming by Steven Bowden, the game combined a retro 1950s-style atomic-age aesthetic with a zombie amusement park theme, featuring two flippers, three ramps, multiball play with up to six balls, and an LCD display.
Deeproot entered the industry with ambitious plans, but RAZA's development was plagued by delays, reliability problems, and unfinished elements. A prototype was finally revealed and put up for preorder in December 2020, yet no units were ever delivered to customers, and the game was canceled when Deeproot went out of business.
Only a single unit of the Arcade Edition was produced, making it one of the rarest artifacts of one of modern pinball's most notorious failed ventures.
