About This Machine
Mad Max is a home-brew pinball machine completed in February 2020 by builder Kurt Savage, with just two units produced. Rather than designing custom electronics from scratch, Savage built the game on the Williams WPC (Fliptronics 2) system, the same proven hardware platform that powered Williams and Bally's classic machines of the early-to-mid 1990s, complete with a dot matrix display.
The four-player game features three flippers, two ramps, and three-ball multiball. Like most home-brew projects, it was never a commercial product; it stands as an example of the hobbyist movement in which enthusiasts repurpose classic pinball hardware to bring entirely new themes to life.
