The Pinball Mountain
About This Machine
The Pinball Mountain is a one-of-a-kind immersive art piece created in 2021 by Denver-based artist and pinball designer Ryan Policky of Immersive Pinball. Built around a repainted and redesigned pinball machine with old-school mechanical score reels, the project merges real-world environment design with traditional pinball play.
Meticulously hand-painted and inspired by the sights and sounds of Colorado's Mt. Evans, the game dares players to confront bears, giant waterfalls, and an upper playfield full of UFOs, complete with mysterious hidden sounds. Custom workshop-polished plastics, glowing UV rubber rings, and intense lighting emanating from unexpected places round out the sensory package.
The goal is to rack up a huge score in the fastest time possible while making your way up the mountain to the victory flag. Only a single unit exists, offered at $20,000 and made available for immersive events, venues, and film productions, often with the artist on-site to style the surrounding room.
