Porsche

Porsche is a rare promotional pinball machine built by Homepin in early 2021. The German automaker commissioned the boutique manufacturer to produce a handful of custom machines to help promote its new Taycan electric car, and the games were displayed at car shows rather than sold to the public.

Unusually for a pinball project, the playfield layout and all of the artwork were supplied directly by Porsche, with Homepin executing the build to the client's specification. On the technical side, the machine featured opto rollovers controlled by a special circuit to prevent false triggering from ambient light, and a hall-effect spinner that spins freely without a microswitch to slow it down.

With only about five examples produced, Porsche stands as one of Homepin's most obscure creations, despite the company reportedly being flooded with purchase requests from collectors around the world.
