Gnarly

Gnarly is a one-of-a-kind home-brew pinball machine built by Immersive Pinball and completed in October 2021. A four-player solid-state game, it features four flippers and, unusually for a modern build, mechanical reel score displays — a retro touch that sets it apart from the LCD-equipped machines of its era.

Only a single unit was produced, and it was listed at a striking $20,000 price, reflecting the enormous labor that goes into a hand-built custom machine.

Little public documentation exists for the project, making Gnarly one of the more obscure entries in the thriving homebrew pinball scene of the early 2020s.
