Ferris Bueller’s Day Off

Ferris Bueller's Day Off is a home-brew pinball machine from August 2021 based on John Hughes' beloved 1986 teen comedy about a high schooler's legendary day of playing hooky in Chicago. A re-theme project rather than a scratch build, it transforms an existing machine with new art and software inspired by the film.

The four-player solid-state game features two flippers, two ramps, and an LCD display. Only two units were produced, making it a true rarity even by homebrew standards.

Like many fan-made re-themes, it exists purely as a labor of love — an unofficial celebration of a movie that never received a commercial pinball adaptation.
