Cactus Canyon (Remake - Special Edition)

Cactus Canyon (Remake - Special Edition) is the base edition of Chicago Gaming Company's 2021 remake of Bally's 1998 Cactus Canyon, released in August 2021. The original game, a lighthearted Wild West adventure, saw only a brief production run before Williams shut down its pinball division, making the remake a welcome second chance for the title.

Up to four players patrol the frontier town as sheriff, using two flippers to shoot three ramps and battle through three multiball modes. Unlike the LCD-equipped higher-tier editions, the Special Edition retains a dot matrix display, staying closer to the look of the 1998 original.

As the most accessible version of the Cactus Canyon Remake lineup, the Special Edition brought this once-rare design back into homes and arcades at a lower price point than its Limited Edition sibling.
