Scooby Doo (Collectors Edition)

Scooby Doo (Collectors Edition) is the top-of-the-line version of Spooky Pinball's Scooby-Doo machine, released in December 2022 at an MSRP of $9,769. Fully licensed and based on the original animated series, it features custom call-outs from Frank Welker, Matthew Lillard, Kate Micucci, and Grey Griffin, and plays up to five players -- one for each member of the Mystery Inc. gang, who are also represented by the game's ramps.

Mechanically the game is ambitious: a standard-body playfield in a widebody cabinet makes room for an upper playfield with two full-size flippers and magnetic ball disruption, a Captain Cutler bash toy with magna hands, a five-ball Mystery Machine lock, illuminated double and triple drop targets, a bookcase diverter, dual apron ball locks, two spinners, and over 200 RGB LEDs, all driven by an LCD display.

As the flagship edition, the Collectors Edition adds distinctive green metalwork, a special art package, a topper, laser-cut side rails, and a bespoke launch button, on top of the powder-coat, shaker, knocker, and lighting upgrades of the lesser editions. Gameplay is the same across all three versions -- Standard, Blood Suckers, and Collectors -- but the CE was aimed squarely at collectors who wanted the complete package.
