Elf
About This Machine
Elf is a home-brew pinball machine created by Bob Nies in March 2022, themed after the holiday comedy of the same name. Built as a four-player solid-state game, it runs on Multimorphic's P3-ROC control system, a popular choice among serious home-brew builders for its flexibility.
The layout features four flippers, a ramp, and no fewer than four multiball modes, with an LCD display handling scoring and animations. That is a generous feature set for a hobbyist build, reflecting the increasingly professional quality of the modern home-brew scene.
According to the Pinside machine database, one game was built with further production planned, making Elf one of the many passion projects that blur the line between hobbyist creation and boutique manufacturing.
