Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Standard Edition)
About This Machine
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Standard Edition) is the entry-level version of Spooky Pinball's 2023 horror title, announced in December 2023 with an MSRP of $8,299. Based on the landmark 1974 slasher film, the game employs Spooky's "one playfield, two games" concept introduced with Halloween and Ultraman: a single four-flipper, standard-width playfield design shared with a companion title, with total production limited to 888 machines distributed across three editions according to demand.
Designed by Corwin Emery and Spooky Luke, the playfield features four flippers and four ramps along with headline toys including an interactive Leatherface "kill door" bash toy and a meat-grinding ball lock mechanism, all supporting a mission-based rule set. Benjamin Heckendorn returned to Spooky to write the game code, and Christopher Franchi made his Spooky debut with the playfield and plastics artwork.
Priced $1,400 below the Collector's Edition, the Standard Edition offered the most affordable path into the game, extending Spooky Pinball's track record of limited-run, horror-licensed machines built in Benton, Wisconsin for a devoted collector audience.
