Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Collectors Edition)
About This Machine
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Collector's Edition) is the top-of-the-line version of Spooky Pinball's 2023 horror machine, released in December 2023 at an MSRP of $9,699. Based on the influential 1974 slasher film, it uses Spooky's "one playfield, two games" approach first seen with Halloween and Ultraman: a single four-flipper, standard-width playfield design shared with a companion title, with combined production capped at 888 machines spread across three editions.
The playfield, designed by Corwin Emery and Spooky Luke, features four flippers, four ramps, and multiball play driven by standout mechanisms including an interactive Leatherface "kill door" bash toy and a meat-grinding ball lock. An LCD display carries the game's animations and mission-based rule set, with code by Benjamin Heckendorn, who returned to Spooky for this title. The artwork on the playfield and plastics marked Christopher Franchi's first project for the company.
As the flagship edition, the Collector's Edition sits above the Blood Sucker and Standard Editions in the lineup, continuing Spooky Pinball's specialty of limited-run horror titles aimed squarely at collectors.
