Subhumans

Subhumans is a one-of-a-kind homebrew pinball project completed in April 2023 by Trilogy Brewing Co. Rather than a scratch build, it is a re-theme constructed on Multimorphic's P3 Pinball Platform, the modular system whose interactive playfield display and swappable game modules make it a popular foundation for custom creations.

Only a single unit was produced, and the game was never sold commercially. It is documented through the Pinside homebrew community, which tracks personal builds and re-themes alongside factory releases.

As a P3-based re-theme, Subhumans illustrates one of the more accessible paths into custom pinball: taking an existing modern platform and dressing it in entirely new artwork and identity, letting a small team realize a personal vision without engineering a machine from the ground up.
