Punny Factory (Standard)

Punny Factory (Standard) is the debut pinball machine from Pinball Adventures, a young manufacturer that put the game into production as a custom build in April 2023. The theme is pure wordplay: an explosion at the Punny Factory has sent its puns flying loose, and players must gather them and press new ones to get the factory up and running again, with progress tracked by a circle of inserts above the flippers.

The layout is a deliberately old-school, single-level design with two flippers and no ramps. It features a classic Vari-Target, a distinctive ball press mechanism in the middle of the playfield, three drop targets, three pop bumpers, a kickback, an up-kicker, and seventeen stand-up targets, along with multiball play and an LCD display for scoring and animations.

The machine's most memorable flourish is its interactive smokestack: a smoke machine expels real smoke through a 3D chimney on top of the backbox whenever a pun is being pressed. Combined with colorful synchronized LED lighting across the backglass and playfield, and artwork drawn from the existing Punny Factory brand of books, the game established Pinball Adventures' playful identity in the boutique pinball market.
