Punny Factory (Engraved Edition)

Punny Factory (Engraved Edition) is a premium variant of Pinball Adventures' debut pinball machine, planned for production in April 2023 with a run of just two games. As the name suggests, this edition features wood-engraved cabinet artwork in place of the standard printed decals, making it an ultra-limited collector's version of the company's first title.

The underlying game is built around a lighthearted pun-themed story: an explosion at the Punny Factory has scattered its puns, and the player must gather them up and press new ones to get the factory running again. The playfield is a deliberately old-school single-level design featuring a Vari-Target, a unique ball press mechanism in the center of the playfield, drop targets, pop bumpers, a kickback, and a large array of stand-up targets.

One signature touch is the interactive smokestack system: a smoke machine vents through a 3D chimney atop the backbox whenever a pun is being made in the press, an unusual physical effect for a modern pinball machine. With only two examples planned, the Engraved Edition stands as one of the rarest variants from the young Canadian manufacturer.
