Black Rose: Skull and Bones (kit)

Black Rose: Skull and Bones is a licensed "2.0" conversion kit from Cardona Pinball Designs, released in August 2023 at $2,200. Designed to install into Bally's 1992 pirate-themed Black Rose, the kit gives the machine an entirely new game while preserving the ability to play the original: owners can switch between classic Black Rose and the new Skull and Bones experience.

The kit includes a FAST Pinball controller board, a CPU panel, audio and accessory controllers, a power supply, and a display panel with a 15.6-inch monitor, replacing the original electronics. Cardona Pinball Designs secured a licensing arrangement with Planetary Pinball Supply, the licensor of the Williams/Bally rights, whose 2.0 kits run on the FAST Pinball platform.

This was Cardona's second conversion kit, following their No Good Gofers: Battle for the Green project. The resulting game supports up to four players and features three flippers, three ramps, four multiball modes, and an LCD display.
