Bird Watcher

Bird Watcher is a 2023 add-on game for the Multimorphic P3 pinball platform, created by Ian Harrower Games and released in November 2023 at a price of $150. Rather than a physical machine, it is a downloadable game that runs on existing P3 hardware, using the platform's interactive playfield display to transform any P3 into a new experience.

The game casts the player as a twitcher, a birder devoted to finding and photographing rare birds. It is a relaxing, timed single-player experience in which birds appear on the playfield and the player must spot and photograph them. Notably, it was Ian Harrower's first release for the P3 and the first P3 add-on game to customize aspects of its gameplay based on which physical playfield module is installed, working with all P3 playfields.

With five flippers and eight ramps available depending on the installed module, Bird Watcher shows off the flexibility of the P3 platform and the growing ecosystem of third-party developers building for it.
