The Princess Bride
About This Machine
The Princess Bride is a pinball game announced by Multimorphic in February 2024 for its modular P3 Pinball Platform, created in collaboration with The Princess Bride Ltd. and based on the beloved film. It was offered both as a game kit for existing P3 owners - the Standard kit priced at $3,750, with a $5,000 Limited Edition kit - and as complete new P3 machines in Standard, Limited, and Collector's Edition configurations at $11,500, $12,750, and $13,750, with production beginning in summer 2024.
The game includes over 200 video clips and quotes from the film, guiding players through its iconic scenes and rewarding the right sequences of shots. The physical playfield features interactive elements modeled directly from the movie, including Humperdinck's Castle, Miracle Max's Hut, and the Cliffs of Insanity, where the pinball physically climbs the cliffs.
Modes lean into the P3 platform's unique capabilities: Battle of Steel is played with the left hand before switching to the right, Guide My Sword directs shots toward physical scoops, Fire Swamp has players avoiding a moving R.O.U.S. on the embedded playfield screen, and To The Pain gradually increases flipper strength as Westley regains his own for the final confrontation with Humperdinck. The four-player game runs on Multimorphic's P3-ROC system with four flippers, two ramps, and up to three multiball modes. The Collector's Edition adds replica Inigo swords mounted to the cabinet, bronze powder-coated hardware, custom backbox glass, and a numbered plaque with a signed certificate of authenticity.
