Metallica Remastered (LE)

Metallica Remastered (Limited Edition) is the collectible flagship of Stern Pinball's October 2024 revival of one of its most beloved titles. Revealed on October 16, 2024, and limited to 500 units globally at an MSRP of $12,999, it is a technologically advanced update of the original 2013 Metallica, again led by designer John Borg with software by Raymond Davidson.

The Remastered edition replaces the original dot-matrix display with a full-color LCD featuring all-new animations and live concert footage, powered by Stern's SPIKE 2 electronics. The soundtrack grows to 22 Metallica songs (eight more than the original), and Lyman Sheats' iconic rule set has been enhanced with two new modes based on the albums 72 Seasons and Hardwired...to Self-Destruct, plus a new 'Blackened' wizard mode. Borg's classic playfield architecture gains three all-new sculptures - Sparky, the Hammer, and RGB-illuminated Skulls - along with a Metallica logo spell-out on the back panel and dramatic UV lighting effects.

Exclusive to the Limited Edition are Stern's Expression Lighting System and Speaker Expression Lighting, synchronized to custom light shows designed for every song. The game also includes Stern's Insider Connected platform, enabling ongoing code updates and connected play.
