Friday the 13th
About This Machine
Friday the 13th is a one-off home-brew pinball machine completed in March 2024, with exactly one unit produced. Built by a hobbyist rather than a commercial manufacturer, it channels the slasher-horror theme onto a custom solid state platform.
Despite its home-brew origins, the machine is ambitiously specified: a four-player game with two flippers, two ramps, a four-ball multiball, and a modern LCD display driving its presentation. That feature set puts it closer to contemporary boutique releases than to the simple re-themes that make up much of the home-brew scene.
As a unique, hand-built creation, Friday the 13th exemplifies the modern home-brew movement, where accessible open-source pinball hardware and software have made it possible for individual builders to construct fully featured, professional-feeling machines in their own workshops.
