Medieval Madness (Merlin Edition)

Medieval Madness (Merlin Edition) is Chicago Gaming Company's September 2025 premium remake of the beloved 1997 Williams classic. The remake faithfully reproduces the original's universally loved gameplay - the exploding castle, motorized drawbridge, and two pop-up trolls - while upgrading the machine with modern electronics, a fully adjustable color display, all-LED lighting, and a class D digital audio amplifier.

The Merlin Edition is the top trim of the remake line and adds a long list of exclusive features: a King of Payne topper based on the game's villain, interactive RGB general illumination, an XL display with nearly twice the viewable area, HD color upgrade, Merlin Blue powder-coated trim, molding, legs and lower arch, a premium enhanced sound system, RGB LED back panel lighting, and a shaker motor.

Production of the Merlin Edition was limited to 1,500 units. For collectors, it offers the definitive modern way to own one of the most acclaimed pinball designs of the 1990s without hunting down an increasingly expensive original.
