King Kong: Myth of Terror Island (LE)
About This Machine
King Kong: Myth of Terror Island (Limited Edition) is the flagship model of Stern Pinball's April 2025 release starring cinema's most iconic giant ape. Designed by Keith Elwin, widely regarded as one of the finest playfield designers of the modern era, the game runs on Stern's SPIKE 2 system and supports up to four players. The Limited Edition was produced in a run of 932 units at an MSRP of $12,999, topping a lineup that also included Pro ($6,999) and Premium ($9,699) models.
The Premium and LE models are loaded with articulated toys: Kong himself moves around the playfield, a bi-plane spins its propeller overhead, a giant spider "attacks" the ball, a 3D sculpted gong rings out, a New York City train car serves as a ball lock, and a Log Bridge diverter redirects the action. Four flippers, three ramps, and multiball play with up to seven balls deliver appropriately monstrous gameplay.
Adding personality to the adventure, the game features custom speech recorded by Brian "Q" Quinn of Impractical Jokers fame. As the top-of-the-line model of one of Stern's most toy-packed titles of 2025, the LE quickly became a sought-after piece for collectors.
