Fish Tales: Ultimate Fishing Challenge (Kit)

Fish Tales: Ultimate Fishing Challenge is not a standalone machine but an officially licensed conversion kit from Cardona Pinball Designs, released in April 2026. It installs into Williams' beloved 1992 fishing-themed classic Fish Tales and transforms it into an essentially new game - while preserving the original, so owners end up with two games in one cabinet.

The kit is built on the modern FAST Pinball control system and adds a completely new rule set, an LCD display, fresh audio and video packages, and updated artwork. Licensing was secured from Williams/Planetary Pinball, and the sound package even includes a licensed use of Heart's 'Barracuda,' a fitting anthem for a fishing adventure.

This was the third such '2.0' kit from James Cardona's company, which has carved out a niche breathing new life into classic Bally/Williams titles. For Fish Tales owners, the Ultimate Fishing Challenge kit offers a way to experience a familiar playfield - two flippers, two ramps, and multiball action - with entirely modern rules and presentation.
