Fiesta
About This Machine
Fiesta is a flipperless electro-mechanical pinball machine released by Exhibit Supply Company (trade name ESCO) of Chicago in November 1946. Arriving in the busy first wave of postwar pinball production, it offered players the standard arrangement of the day: five balls for five cents.
The playfield is built around 15 passive bumpers scattered throughout the machine, providing ample opportunities for score accumulation as the ball ricochets its way down. A single kick-out hole adds an element of unpredictability to the descent. Released just over a year before flippers transformed the game, Fiesta represents the final generation of purely gravity-driven pinball design.
With its theme of celebration, dancing, festivities, and music, Fiesta evokes the vibrant atmosphere of 1940s amusement arcades and nickel-and-dime entertainment. For collectors and historians, it serves as a tangible connection to the flipperless era and to Exhibit Supply's contribution to pinball's early postwar years.
