The Fabulous 50's

The Fabulous 50, released by Viza Mfg., Inc. in August 1978 and manufactured under contract by Allied Leisure Industries, is a little-known four-player cocktail table pinball game. Cocktail table pinballs were a short-lived novelty of the late 1970s, designed to sit flat like a cocktail arcade cabinet, and The Fabulous 50 offers a glimpse into that unusual corner of the industry.

The playfield carries a conventional feature set for the era: two flippers, three pop bumpers, two slingshots, four drop targets, and a right outlane ball return gate that gives players a second chance on drains to that side. Its theme celebrates dancing, happiness, and music.

Documentation on Viza Mfg. and this title is scarce, which only adds to its obscurity; The Fabulous 50 remains a curiosity for collectors interested in the cocktail table experiments of the late 1970s.
