About This Machine

In Concert is not a produced pinball machine but a Bally-branded concept from Midway Manufacturing (a WMS Industries subsidiary), designed and illustrated by Python Anghelo around a music/singing theme. It never reached production; what survives is a blueprint copy of Anghelo's original backglass art and a record of the payment request for that work.

According to collector James Loflin, Anghelo's original artwork depicted the singer Madonna and was submitted to her studio for approval — where it was rejected and destroyed. That rejection appears to be the reason the project went no further, leaving only planning documentation and blueprint reproductions behind.

The surviving records do describe a conventional layout, with two flippers, two slingshots, and left and right crossover return lanes, but since the game was never built or playtested, no actual gameplay experience exists to evaluate. In Concert stands today as a documented "what if" — a glimpse of a licensed music theme that pinball fans never got to see realized.
