Lucky Draw
About This Machine
Lucky Draw is an electro-mechanical 'upright' payout device — a 'flasher type' slot machine, not a pinball machine — manufactured by Games, Incorporated of Chicago in 1963. Like similar export uprights of the era, it was made for markets outside the United States, where coin-payout devices of this kind were not legal.
The cabinet features four hold buttons, letting players temporarily hold selected reel or target positions as part of the payout mechanic, and the backglass carries Games Incorporated's own equivalent of Keeney's Panascope feature. Its theme draws on Old West imagery.
Per The Cash Box (April 11, 1964), the game had created a sensation "last year," suggesting strong reception following its 1963 release. Beyond this, little further documentation of Lucky Draw survives.
