Wizard

The Wizard kit, released by Headsup Pinball of Colleyville, Texas in May 2022, is a licensed conversion kit — not a newly manufactured machine — that lets owners convert Gottlieb's 1977 electro-mechanical add-a-ball game 'Team One' into a fantasy-themed 'Wizard' machine. Only twelve of these kits were produced (model 750), with serial numbers interspersed among Headsup's separately produced line of fully converted 'Wizard' games.

The kit included a new backglass, playfield, playfield plastics, playfield dip targets, a backbox insert light baffle, a red gel to cover the credit window, serial-number stencils for the cabinet, detailed instructions, a keychain, and a reproduction certificate — everything needed to transform a Team One cabinet into a Wizard, aside from the underlying EM hardware already present on the donor game. It sold for $1,500 when new.

Because it repurposes Team One's mechanical guts under new fantasy/myth-and-legend artwork and playfield elements, Wizard offers a rare modern take on a classic EM add-a-ball, appealing to collectors interested in preservation and small-scale licensed conversions rather than all-new EM manufacturing.
