Sportsman

The O.D. Jennings and Company's Sportsman pinball machine, manufactured in September 1935, is an electro-mechanical (EM) payout machine with a hunting theme, one of several Sportsman variants Jennings produced that year alongside the fishing-themed "Improved Sportsman ('Huck Finn')".

As a one-player payout machine, Sportsman would have used electromechanical relays and contacts typical of the era to register scoring and control payouts, though detailed documentation or schematics for this specific version have not survived.

The hunting theme reflects a common motif in Depression-era coin-operated games, tapping into the era's cultural interest in outdoor sport. Beyond its manufacture date and general specifications, little else is documented about this particular Sportsman variant's design or playfield artwork.
