You Only Live Twice (James Bond 007 Premium) is Stern Pinball's Premium Edition entry in its 2022 James Bond 007 lineup, released in December 2022 - the manufacturer's first pinball machine built around the Bond franchise. Designed by George Gomez with art by Kevin O'Connor, it takes its name from Ian Fleming's 1964 novel and its 1967 film adaptation.
At its core, You Only Live Twice offers an immersive experience with a plethora of interactive features. Three flippers provide players with ample opportunities for strategy and skill, accompanied by pop bumpers, slingshots, standup targets, two vertical up-kickers, a 3-bank drop target, a kick-out hole, a spinning target, an aerial target, a diverter, and a magnet-equipped scoop. Multiball play uses six installed pinballs, and a standout feature is the pivoting arm that captures a ball with its magnet and guides it across the upper playfield to drop onto the aerial target.
Visually, You Only Live Twice features powder-coated black wrinkle-finish side armor, hinges, front lockdown molding, and legs, with a powder-coated steel bottom arch, and uses a translite in place of a traditional backglass. It carried an MSRP of $9,699 at launch, reflecting its Premium-tier feature set relative to the Pro edition.
