Actros Magic Tour 2013

Actros Magic Tour 2013 is not an original pinball design but a re-themed conversion, seen in at least two known examples, of Gottlieb's 1981 games 'Volcano' and 'Mars God of War'. In each case the original Gottlieb playfield art was retained, while bumper caps and plastic light shields were swapped for bright orange (on the Volcano-based unit) or red (on the Mars-based unit), the cabinet was repainted, and new decals were added over the existing Gottlieb cardholder, which still displayed the original instruction and score cards.

Both versions carry a lower backglass reading "Actros Magic Tour 2013" depicting the front ends of three heavy-duty trucks, apparently tied to Mercedes-Benz's annual Actros roadshow, which toured five French locations in March 2013 to showcase the trucks to drivers and haulers.

It is not known who created these conversions or exactly when they were made, but the trucking theme and Mercedes-Benz tie-in make this a distinctive, if unofficial, oddity within the pinball world.
