Shoot!.. Shoot Again
About This Machine
Meet Shoot!.. Shoot Again, a rare and enigmatic electro-mechanical pinball machine from Soyuzattraktsion of Russia. As one of very few known examples of Russian-made EM pinballs, this machine holds significant importance in the history of the sport, offering a glimpse into the lesser-known world of Eastern European pinball design. Only a single photo of this machine is known to survive, and its exact production date is unclear.
In terms of gameplay, Shoot!.. Shoot Again boasts two flippers and three pop bumpers, each with distinctive flat caps shaped like soccer balls. Players can expect a classic EM experience typical of the era. The backglass depicts two rival soccer players, with Russian text (no English) and two four-digit nixie tube score displays labeled for the rival sports clubs Spartak and Dinamo.
The machine uses a console-style cabinet with no rear metal legs, brushed metal trim, a protruding coin door, and front legs not mounted at the cabinet corners -- a design identical to Soyuzattraktsion's other known title, 'Sport'. This shared design suggests the two games came from the same production line. Despite the scarcity of information surrounding its creation, this machine remains an intriguing addition to any pinball enthusiast's collection, offering a rare look into Soviet-era EM design.
