Jurassic Park (Home Edition)
About This Machine
The Jurassic Park (Home Edition) pinball machine, released by Stern Pinball in 2021 and designed by Jack Danger (his first pinball design for Stern), is a home-model addition to the world of pinball based on the iconic movie franchise. As a licensed theme, it's part of a long line of cinematic tie-ins that have captured the imaginations of players and collectors alike.
In terms of gameplay, Jurassic Park (Home Edition) boasts two flippers, four stand-up targets, three ramps, and a range of interactive elements such as slingshots, pop bumpers, and spinning targets. The machine also includes a captive ball feature that, when hit, strikes the lower pop bumper. A standout mechanic is the T-Rex head toy: shooting a ball under it with sufficient force propels the ball through a hidden 180-degree ramp and out its mouth. The game also includes multiball.
The design of Jurassic Park (Home Edition) aims to capture the essence of the film's prehistoric world. The playfield and cabinet are made of medium-density fiberboard (MDF), and the game ships factory-equipped with four pinballs. As Stern's home model take on Jurassic Park, it offers hidden-ramp shots and interactive elements that challenge players to explore new strategies and tactics.
