Rush (Pro)
About This Machine
The Rush (Pro) pinball machine, designed by John Borg and manufactured by Stern Pinball in 2022, is a music-themed game built on Stern's SPIKE 2 system. As one of Stern's Pro lineup entries, it combines the music of the legendary rock band Rush with modern pinball mechanics.
At the heart of Rush (Pro) lies a captivating gameplay experience that leverages the iconic music of the legendary rock band Rush. With three flippers and eight standup targets, players must navigate the ball through a complex network of ramps, scoops, and slingshots to achieve high scores. The machine's feature set includes a bidirectional thrust magnet paired with a stationary ramp, a spinning target, and a kick-out hole, among others. The Rush (Pro) also includes Stern's factory-installed Insider Connected player tracking system.
The design and art of Rush (Pro) are equally notable, with a powder-coated black wrinkle finish adorning its side armor, hinges, front lockdown molding, and legs. A transparent insert lets players view the pinball as it travels through a stylized subway system. One standup target is recessed behind a drop target bank, adding to the machine's visual appeal. The game's cabinet artwork features decals, and a translite is used instead of a traditional backglass. With its selection of 16 Rush songs, chosen at the start of each ball, Rush (Pro) blends the band's music with Stern's modern pinball design.
