Celts
About This Machine
The Celts, manufactured by Haggis Pinball in 2021, marks a significant milestone for Australian pinball makers. As one of the first releases from this relatively new manufacturer, the Celts showcases their commitment to innovation and quality. The game's solid state electronic design and impressive feature set make it an attractive addition to any serious collector's cabinet.
Gameplay on the Celts is marked by its extensive array of targets, including 11 standup targets, 2 scoops, and a 4-bank drop target. Players must navigate their ball through a horseshoe lane, utilizing three slingshots and two pop bumpers to control its trajectory. The inclusion of a diverter above the upper left rollover lane adds an extra layer of strategy, as shooting the right orbit can activate this metal plate and divert the ball to the upper left flipper.
The Celts' design and art are equally impressive, with translucent white rubber rings on the playfield providing a sleek contrast to the lower flippers' green rubber rings. The upper left flipper features a distinctive purple rubber ring, while the 7-inch LCD on the lower playfield adds an element of modernity to this otherwise classic pinball experience. As one of Haggis Pinball's inaugural releases, the Celts represents a promising start for this emerging manufacturer in the world of pinball.
