Challenge Round

Challenge Round is an electro-mechanical, two-player tennis-themed pinball machine from an unidentified manufacturer, believed to date from around the 1970s based on its styling. All that is documented of a surviving example is its backglass, which displays two sets of five score reels for head-to-head play.

A separate one-player game sharing the same name, Challenge Round, was produced by Hispamatic, S.A.; that version's backglass also lacks a visible manufacturer name, suggesting the title may have been used, independently or otherwise, by more than one manufacturer in the period.

Beyond its tennis theme and two-player scoring layout, little else is documented about Challenge Round's gameplay, designer, or original manufacturer, leaving it one of the more obscure entries among EM sports-themed pinball machines.
