BASEBALL-2 (ベースボール2)

BASEBALL-2, made by Komaya Co., Ltd. (Komaya Seisakusho) of Kobe, Japan, is an electro-mechanical "bat game" and a redesigned follow-up to the company's earlier Baseball. Its original flyer promotes a "sophisticated style cabinet that appeals to young people," electronics driven by ICs, and a lit home-run sign as upgrades over the first version.

True to its bat-game design, the player hits an incoming ball with a bat and knocks it into a hole at the front of the machine; a successful hit advances a runner around the bases and earns score, with the game ending after three outs, mirroring the structure of real baseball.

Its exact release year isn't documented, and little further information survives about its designer or original sales, but BASEBALL-2 stands as a notable example of Komaya's sports-themed lineup and the company's push toward more modern electronics within its bat-game series.
