About This Machine

Indy Game (インディゲーム), from Komaya Co., Ltd. of Kobe, Japan, is an auto racing-themed electro-mechanical pinball machine believed to have followed Komaya's 1965 'Crazy 15,' based on flyer text describing it as building on that earlier game's concept with a pinball-style presentation. Its exact production year is not documented.

The game features two flippers and a coin slot built into the lockdown bar. According to the surviving flyer, shooting a ball into a hole lights a corresponding point value on the backglass, and lighting three consecutive spots awards a replay. Beyond this, specific rules and additional features are not well documented.

Auto racing was a popular pinball theme in the 1960s and 70s, and Indy Game reflects Komaya's continued interest in sports subjects following Crazy 15. As with several of Komaya's early games, detailed production and design records have not survived, leaving collectors and historians to piece together its story from flyers and surviving examples.
