About This Machine

The Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory Collector's Edition, designed by Pat Lawlor and manufactured by Jersey Jack Pinball in August 2019, is the most exclusive of the game's three editions, advertised with a defined maximum production run of just 500 units. It came with a numbered brass Collector's Edition plaque and an apron plate signed by Jack Guarnieri, Pat Lawlor, John Youssi, and three actors from the 1971 film that inspired the game: Peter Ostrum, Julie Dawn Cole, and Paris Themmen.

Gameplay-wise, Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory boasts an array of features that set it apart, including four flippers, three pop bumpers, two slingshots, and 36 illuminating mini-inserts strategically placed throughout the playfield. Players work to collect the game's five Golden Tickets through various multiball and mode objectives. The machine also features a digital camera that captures player images and displays them on the backglass, which is mirrored on this edition and used instead of a traditional translite.

Visually, this Collector's Edition stands out with candy-red cabinet armor, legs, and wireforms, upgraded RadCals decals, a shooter knob shaped like a "gobstopper" candy ball, Invisiglass over the playfield, and a topper on the backbox. As with the Standard and Limited Editions, it was among the last games Jersey Jack Pinball built at its New Jersey facility before relocating to Illinois in 2020, cementing its status as a sought-after collector's item.
